AI Modernization of Government
The Biden Administration’s AI Executive Order calls for government modernization, including through efforts to increase procurement of AI technologies, hiring of more AI and tech talent, and provision of guidance to government agencies on use of AI technologies.
These are all great efforts, however, I’m skeptical that knowledgeable talent will actually go work for government agencies as historically government compensation is less than the private sector so top talent often goes there instead.
